Regular access to a licensed physician or nurse practitioner, registered nurses, and/or licensed practical nurses is a foundation of the TLC approach to care. Each patient will have a full medical history & physical examination, including bloodwork and urinalysis, upon admission and at least annually thereafter in addition to ongoing medical evaluations for stability and improved health throughout the course of treatment.
Individual and group substance use counseling and psychotherapy are provided as a critical component of lasting recovery from mental and substance use disorders. The amount and type of counseling and/or psychotherapy depends on the individual's diagnosis(es), history, and needs that influence their individualized and unique plan of comprehensive care.
Individuals with opioid use disorder (OUD), alcohol use disorder (AUD), and/or nicotine use disorder (NUD) may benefit from an FDA-approved medication for their substance use disorder(s) as one part of their unique plan of comprehensive care. Medications for OUD are dispensed on-site and prescribed for pharmacy pick up, depending on the medication types and an individual's needs.
